\"\"Ayotola Tehingbola<\/strong> is a lawyer, photographer and writer from Lagos, Nigeria. Her writing has appeared in The Common, CRAFT, Witness Magazine, and Washington Square Review amongst others, has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net Anthology, and was selected for the 2025 Best Small Fictions anthology. She was a finalist for the 2024 Restless Books Prize for New Immigrant Writing in Fiction and the 2023 Graywolf Press African Prize for Debut Novel. In 2024, she received her MFA in Creative Writing from Boise State University, and she is currently a PhD candidate and instructor in English and Creative Writing at the University of Missouri. She is the author of a debut short story collection Lagos Will Be Hard For You (Masobe Books, 2025; Jacaranda Books, 2026) and the debut novel The Last Electric Man in the World (forthcoming with Jacaranda Books).<\/p>\n
