Amanda Castillo
Amanda Castillo is a Swiss author, journalist, and essayist. She studied law and communication sciences at the University of Geneva, and has worked as a columnist and section editor for several Swiss outlets, including Le Temps, Elle et Paris Match Suisse. She is the author of Et si les femmes avaient le droit de vieillir comme les hommes ? (L’Iconoclaste, 2023) and Tu seras carnivore, mon fils (Textuel, 2025). In her work she examines gender dynamics and social norms, and how they shape bodies, lives, and personal trajectories. She is particularly interested in the often unseen mechanisms of erasure and power that structure both private and collective experiences.
Violaine Chivot
After studying literature and Italian, Violaine took her first steps in publishing at Calmann-Lévy and rue fromentin, before becoming an editor at JC Lattès-Le Masque, where she worked for over a decade on fiction (French and international crime novels) and non-fiction.
In 2024, she set up independently, editing and placing works by authors focusing on conversation-starting, socially engaged projects. She joined AJA in 2026 as a literary agent, driven by a desire to represent singular voices that challenge norms and explore the margins - voices attuned to the world: its mysteries, its political excesses, its judicial failings, but also its progress and its humanity.
